The mission of Rahab's
Rope is to give hope and opportunity to women and girls that have been forced
into the commercial sex trade of India by providing a safe and loving
environment that will enable them to grow and develop both physically and
spiritually.

Rahab's is currently
undergoing some changes- negotiating to purchase a different property in
Bangalore and opening a second facility in Goa. The team may be splitting their
time between Bangalore and Goa.

Goa: facility is located
on the edge of a slum where YWAM is working with preschool children of the
slum. Rahab's is working with the mothers of these children who are CSW's
(commercial sex workers). In ministry the group would be involved with helping
to train the mothers as well as teaching the children. Ministry would also
include visiting the 2 slums Rahab's is working and building relationships with
the women and their daughters that would be at risk. 

Bangalore- new location
also close to a slum with similar ministry to young children and CSW's.

Ministry: building relationships with the mothers and their children from the
commercial sex trade industry

Lodging: 2 bedroom apartment

Food: From local markets, prepared as a team

Transportation: Foot, Rickshaw, and Train

Laundry: by hand

Money: bring a debit card to take out local currency from ATMs

Dress: Indian style tops with sleeves
and long enough to cover the rear-end (can buy in country), pants should be long or crop length,
long skirts are also ok.  No
sleeveless tops or shorts
