Hey guys, my name is Lindsey Marks, and I am 20 years old. I am
from Jacksonville, FL, and I am a sophomore at UF (go gators!). I am majoring
in Agricultural and Biological Engineering and would love to do stuff with
water purification and or agricultural development in developing countries,
maybe work with a non-profit or use my skills to do missions (basically, I
don't know what I'm going to do, but I have a lot of options). I'm minoring in
International Development and Humanitarian Assistance, which has been really
cool to learn about.
India has been a place that God put on my heart a year or so
ago. I think it has to do with the fact that the caste system is still in place
socially (not politically), plus a lot of their water is polluted with
chemicals, etc.
Missions has always excited me, and I've been to an Apache
Reservation in Arizona, to Mexico, and to Honduras. The rez is where God first showed
me heartache (I can talk about Arizona for a while...) and developed my love for
others. Anyway, God has put the poor, the hopeless, and the helpless on my
heart. And He uses us to reach out to them.
I love Copeland a lot. I saw their last show in the states
(it's a band, and they broke up), which was pretty swell...and sad.
I do CRU at UF, and I like it a lot.
I played softball for 8 years and lacrosse for 2.
I love side bags. haha
I love the Yankees, and baseball is great. And I watch espn
all of the time, or the Weather Channel.
I get most of my movie quotes from Home Alone.
ha. i think this is a funny picture.
